Mia Kennedy
Located in historically Black West Charlotte, Mia Kennedy’s garden is a gem in her neighborhood. In the spring and summer, neighbors pass by and graze off the blackberry bushes that line the sidewalk. Sometimes, when the harvest is plentiful, passersbys help themselves to the excess bounty Mia places in baskets in plain sight.
Mia has been gardening her entire life. She learned from her mother whose family farmed peanuts and other crops in Eastern NC.
